We went to Santa Barbara yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom, whom I am so thankful to be able to spend so much time with. We had a super wonderful day and my mom spoiled us all :) Thanks mom for being so generous with your time, love and gifts :) I love you so much!

dirtbike riding adventure

anna's dirtbike riding adventure Saturday all went pretty well. of course we had to get the required picture of her all suited up

and on her PINK bike

daddy made sure to have her check all the safety things again before she took off. yep, those are training wheels on her bike

everything was all fine and good until Anna and Daddy took off for a ride with daddy on the back of the bike and came across a RATTLESNAKE sunning itself on the road that Anna said was AS LONG AS MOMMY! yuck....

watch out chad reed!

Johnny decided that its time for Anna to suit up and start riding. She had ridden once before, but that was mostly Johnny chasing her down the beach at Pismo. This time she has all the gear and is ready to ride. We are going on Saturday...she is super excited!

I know...only a few people who read this will know who chad reed is...but if you dont know, just be sure that he is the best motocross racer in the world! ;)

fun party day!

we went to a party today to celebrate our friends Mackenzie and Luke's birthdays. Thanks to their mama Jaimie for all the fun stuff. You know its a good party when the girls are covered in frosting and sno cone and they fall asleep as soon as we get home ;)

20 months

another month gone by. This month kind of almost came and went without me remembering, mostly because the girls (mostly Rylee) were sick and on the 16th we happened to be at the doctor because Rylee was running a fever that still has not quite gone away.

Amazingly even with a fever she is still happy and sweet

(she always chooses to sit in the sunniest spot in the yard...right in front of the dang turtle sandbox everytime I want to take her picture!)

at 20 months, Rylee is:

*still lovin mama, if I leave the house or she sees me put shoes on, she wants to "go bye bye"

*still loves mickey and minnie and still calls them both "hot dog" (as in hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog)

*is wearing cloth diapers full time. I decided that if I have to change dirty diapers then I at least want them to be cute!

*went to the doctor on the 16th for the never ending fever and she weighs 22.5 pounds

*new words this month: coffee (sounds like caaa-pee), look, go bye bye, outside, story, toes, goofy, trouble (as in here comes trouble...what anna and I say to her all the time), cuddly (cawwwwe-she says this when she wants to cuddle), pretty bug, cereal (cee-yo), hungry (hun-yee)

*asks to be cute all the time (this means she wants to get dressed)

*will sit for longer periods now and watch a show with anna

*goes to bed between 8 and 8:30 and gets up between 8:30 and 9 now (the time change helped with this!)

*naps one time a day still, usually between 1:30 and 2

thanks to our friend Lisa for planning the fun St Patricks Day party last week. The girls and I had a really great time, and I know that Anna loved the beads and Rylee loved all the snacks :)

thankful thought #1

I am thankful for fresh blueberries being available already for my girls to enjoy (Rylee alone could probably eat this whole bowl!)
