1. I have been on a scrapbooking roll as of late! I am so excited, and SUPER excited about some pages I will share on Thursday ;)

2. with that said, I just completed a page that I dont like so much. maybe because the pictures are of a very pregnant me with rylee...I like being pregnant, I just dont like pictures of me pregnant

3. I am still doing well with sticking to my almost everyday photo project...I am still just not good about sharing the pictures

4. had a great playdate the other day with some great friends...makes me so happy that our kids were so happy to see each other after so long :)

5. Johnny and I had a date night the other night...a super yummy dinner and conversation not interrupted by mama! mama! mama!....awesome! so awesome in fact that we are doing it again this friday night!

6. thanks mom! :)

7. I started dieting yesterday...down half a pound. I need this weight gone!

8. how many things in this house can have dead batteries at once? seriously! the clock over the fireplace, anna's leapster...I am sure that there are five more things that need batteries too!

9. anna has been coming out of her room every night after we put her to bed saying that she just needs some cuddle time with her mama :)

10. I am so thankful for a husband that works so very hard :)

10 on tuesday 2.15.11

1. have you checked out Pinterest?? I LOVE this site. I have been busy scanning for cute ideas for everything from home decorating, to cute hairstyles, to really cute art I would love to have in my home. It is by invite only, so if you want to check it out let me know :)

2. I have still been scrapbooking like crazy! I have some posts scheduled over the next few days to share what I have been working on...if anyone cares ;)

3. Johnny got the new Verizon iphone and loves it...I am holding out a little longer until the discount for a new phone that I am already building gets a little bigger

4. went to Sephora with the girls yesterday to get some new makeup and found Anna at one of the tester spots putting her own makeup on...orange, purple and green...lovely

5. we went to the Rose Bowl swap meet this weekend and I loved walking around seeing all of the old jewelry and other fun stuff. Johnny bought me a Coca Cola door handle for our pantry and my mom bought Anna a new chenille bedspread. I think my most favorite thing of all was the bangle bracelet that my sweet Anna bought for me :)

6. I have finally determined that I can no longer go makeup-free. I just need a little oomph to make me not look so old and tired. I am happy when I see my face in the mirror and see that I finally look how I feel

7. It is supposed to rain for the next few days. I am happy and not so happy about this. I wasnt ready for warm weather, but I am also not ready to be cooped up in the house

8. homemade mac and cheese for dinner tonight...yummy!

9. thank goodness for the outcome of the Bachelor last night!

10 on tuesday 2.1.11

1. I have been scrapbooking like crazy this week. I will never ever be caught up, but I am feeling pretty good that I have the monthly layouts done for Anna's first year album and I am about halfway through those layouts for Rylee's first year!

2. having both girls sick this week has really kicked my butt :( Rylee started getting sick yesterday morning and then was good for most of the day (until about 6PM) and then woke up at 4am throwing up. Thank goodness nothing has happened today so far (fingers crossed!)

3. I have to take the trash cans out tonight

4. I love Lands End Canvas. Super cute shirts and really great prices...may get me to shop somewhere other than Gap after all ;)

5. Went to Michaels last Friday for the first time in a long time and was looking for the Martha Stewart craft stuff. Couldnt find it. The lady that worked there that I stopped and asked looked at me like I was crazy. Seriously, how can you work at Michaels and not know where the Martha Stewart stuff is? I did end up finding it on my own :)

6. So excited to see our friends this summer. Anna will be over the moon when she realizes that Charlotte is coming :)

7. Anna took a nap today...shocker! She must still be recovering

8. I found my next crafty project (other than scrapbooking!)

9. I implemented a new laundry system in our house last week wherein I was each type of clothing separately: shirts, pants, jammies, etc. My problem was never with washing the clothes, but with putting them away, and I am seeing that if I only have to put shirts away, or fold undies instead of sorting through everything then I actually get stuff put away. Yay me!

10. Watched Oprah today since both girls were sleeping and saw something that pretty much ensured that my decision not to eat red meat will be sticking.

10 on tuesday 1.4.11

1. the bachelor started again last night. never watched it the first time he was on, but I am sure that I will be reeled in to this season. I have no clue why I didnt watch it the last time he was on, the only knowledge i have of what he did the last time around was hearing all the people on tv call him a jerk...
2. I am anxiously waiting on the delivery of my new printer, I will finally be able to do everything with one printer instead of switching between printers and scanner and that will be nice
3. only five more days until I am that much closer to 40! eek! not 40 yet but getting closer
4. my girls have been playing so nicely together, except for we have reached the stage of "rylee's too quiet, I better check and see what's going on!"
5. I have started on the photo a day project again and I am determined to keep up again this year. the new printer should make it a whole lot easier to work with my photos!
6. it is dang cold here. when the heater shuts off in the afternoon, I race to get it going again
7. have I mentioned how much easier it is to stay home rather than to take the girls out in public?
8. I have a mound of laundry calling my name, make that two mounds...one to be washed and one to be folded and put away..ewww
9. Johnny made me a caesar salad last night and it was so delicious. I love when he cooks
10. whats the perfect thing to do for your birthday when you are feeling like you are getting older? go to Disneyland of course! we are headed there on Saturday with the girls! yay!

ten on tuesday...again on wednesday

1. cleaning out my office the last few days to get it ready for an overhaul this weekend...paint, shelving and furniture moving. all in the hopes of making the room neater and a place where the girls can come in while I am in there

2. fighting...oh the fighting. I figured I had a bit more time before the girls started fighting over toys and whatever else they are fighting over. I am going to be bald soon because I feel like I am one fight away from pulling out all my hair!

3. 14 days until the big day...the day Anna turns FOUR!

4. I am so loving this cooler weather. It gets pretty frosty at night. I love it!

5. I want to take Anna to see the new Disney movie, Tangled...dont quite know how to do that with Rylee though. I have a feeling that five minutes in to the movie she would be wanting to crawl all over the floor...ick

6. speaking of Rylee, she just ate a crayon...nice

7. went shopping at Trader Joes the last two weeks for my grocery shopping. I love how they have so many foods available that make it possible for me not to eat red meat or meat at all if I so choose

8. my hair is finally growing. not quite ponytail length, but it finally isnt "short" anymore

9. so proud of Anna. Last night she completely cleaned the playroom all by herself, no help from me...yay!

10. so many of my neighbors have their Christmas lights up already. I cant wait to get ours up!

ten on tuesday

1. anna and I are going on a date tonight. just us. i cant wait!

2. when will anna stop getting out of bed 12 times a night before finally going to sleep?

3. I cannot stop watching "keeping up with the kardashians". I dont know what draws me in!

4. we had an awesome weekend in las vegas with my mom...although we are trying to figure out next year how to go by ourselves! ;)

5. I am so thankful that all of the campaign calls have gone away

6. I have all my laundry folded...I am just stalling putting it away

7. I dont know what to say...

8. I found the "angry birds" game on my phone. It could be really addictive!

9. the dog wants out and I cant make myself get up to go let him out. I know he wont go in the house. Thank goodness it isnt Roary barking at me

ten on tuesday 11.2.10

1. took anna to the dentist today. no cavities and the dentist congratulated me again on how good her teeth look...lol!
2. four more days until our trip with grammy/mom
3. is it possible that Rylee is getting more teeth...I hope that is the explanation for the crying sad baby we have her today
4. looking forward to voting tonight!
5. how come dog food is so expensive?
6. dancing with the stars is getting down to the final few. I think it will be interesting to see who makes it to the end. Obviously some people stay around longer than you think they will because of fan votes, but thankfully there isnt another Jerry Springer this year...
7. I cant make myself take down Anna's Halloween decorations that she made. they are just too cute!
8. watched sex and the city 2 this weekend. I loved that show when it was on and love the movies every time they come out too
9. it is windy and in the 80's here today. I dont like the wind at this time of year because it is so dry on the hillsides and dry+wind= fire weather

ten on tuesday

1. so ready for Halloween. I cant wait to get the girls all dressed up in their costumes. We have done a few practice runs with Rylee so that she will keep the head part of her costume on. So far so good!

2. looking forward to our annual trip with my mom next week!

3. my mom likes to gamble so we always head somewhere there is gambling. I just care that there is a comfy bed with a nice tv :)

4. had to take Rylee to the doctor today because she has an icky rash on her side. No worries for anyone who has been around us. It is not contagious! :)

5. had a wonderful night out last week with my friend Lisa. Cant wait to do it again!

6. Anna and I made all of Halloween decorations this year and they are my most favorite decorations that we have ever had! We have ghosts and spiders, all cut out by me, and colored by Anna (with a little help from Rylee)

7. Johnny has started remodeling our master bathroom. It is going to be so pretty!

8. I really want a turkey sandwich right now!

9. I love the Amazon Mom program. Disounts on diapers, wipes and many other things that my girls need? Yes, please!

10. I have quite the stash started for Anna's birthday and the girls' Christmas. I love the stuff I have so far and I cannot wait to give it to them!

ten on tuesday

been a while since I did one of these lists so here goes...

1. had our first visit with the new pediatrician yesterday for Rylee's 15 month appointment. I was sad to have to leave our original doctor but I think we may have found someone we really like. yay!

2. it is rainy and cold here today, i love it!

3. i have so much laundry to put away today. ick!

4. rylee makes me laugh...right now she has put her pjs on her head (i think she took them out of the laundry) and is wearing them around the house

5. it is so nice to be at home today with the girls

6. I saw the cutest idea on the martha stewart show this morning that may be something I want to do for Halloween: beehive

7. still writing this 2 hours after I started. half of the laundry is done!

8. loving the show boardwalk empire. such an awesome show with great costumes and historical stuff. guess that's why I like Mad Men too

9. looking forward to the annual trip the girls and I take with my mom for her birthday!

ten on tuesday

1. so very thankful for friends that truly know me and like me for who I am and dont need me to be anything other than what I already am
2. scrapbooked last night and finished a page in 10 minutes flat!
3. looking forward to the rain that is supposed to be here tomorrow
4. loving getting out my long sleeved shirts, even if I only get to wear them for a couple of days before it gets hot again
5. had a laundry marathon this weekend and did almost all of the laundry I was behind on. the best part is that it is put away too!
6. this month on the 24th marks 18 years that Johnny and I have been together
7. a ruffly dress, sparkly tights and sparkly shoes...Anna's Christmas outfit for this year :)
8. Christmas lists are being made already by Anna. Love that she is choosing dolls this year :)
9. looking forward to a dinner date with a friend next week!
10. love that it is cold enough in our house that the air conditioner hasnt turned on for the last 3 days

10 on tuesday...a little bit late

1. posting on wednesday officially but considering it still a 10 on tuesday list :)
2. went to lunch with Johnny today, just me and him. loved it!
3. finished reading a book today that I think many wouldnt think would be a good read.
4. loving dancing with the stars!
5. used hulu tonight for the first time to watch the Chuck episode from last night. what a wonderful invention!
6. both of my girls are sick today :(
7. simple things make me happy...Johnny changed out the lightbulbs on my side of the garage and now it is nice and bright!
8. did I mention that I read a book? so glad that I have started carving out a little time to start doing one of my favorite things again! any recommendations for books to read?
9. Rylee is getting so close to walking. I am thinking that is a good thing and a bad thing. She is so fast already when she is crawling and I cannot imagine how I am going to keep up with her when she is walking and then running. She is getting more daring day by day. It will be so soon!

ten on tuesday

1. another post that is actually happening on a Tuesday...yay me!
2. it is 109 degrees here today...ack!
3. I just realized today that we dont have a whole lot of friends left. Things have changed dramatically in our lives in the last few months and with that have come a whole lot of changes in the people that are around us...
4. two days until our 10th wedding anniversary!
5. scrapbooked again this week. love that I finally got to scrap these fun pictures...

6. still thinking of all the things I need to get together for our trip. I am keeping a list as I think of things I will need to get at Target next week

7. Rylee and Anna have so many scratches from the puppy. Anna is learning to "train" her not to bite, and I think it is hilarious when she tells her: "Dont bite the baby!"

8. the air conditioning is running in my house right now but it is still 83 degrees. Did I mention that it is 109 outside? ick

9. the girls are finally getting better. They both have a bit of a lingering cough but are both seeming to be back to their normal selves

10 on tuesday

1. I am going to have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch today. yes, it is 2:30 and I am just now thinking about lunch
2. I am on hold right now with the jury duty people trying to get excused, they sure dont make it easy
3. girls are sleeping, both of them I think are coming down with something as they are not their normal selves :(
4. speaking of girls, our new puppy girl is fitting in nicely, although I have cleaned up more pee in the last two days than the amount of diapers i change for rylee...argh
5. dang jury duty...ugh
6. I cannot stand the moms that make it difficult for the other moms and kids to enjoy something. there is a little girl in anna's gymnastics class that threw a fit today because the normal teacher was not there so she stormed off the floor. when she stormed off the floor, the teacher gave anna her (the little girls)foam star that they use to mark each kid's spot because anna got to class about 2 minutes after they handed out stars. the little girl started screaming and the grandma(not the mom because she was in the office complaining) walked on to the floor, yanked the star out of anna's hand and walked her granddaughter back off the floor. the class had to stop because the teacher had to figure out what was going on. so for 5 minutes the other kids had to stop what they were doing because the teacher had to wait while she was being confronted by the mother for not being the normal teacher. this all ended with the owner telling us that the other teacher would be back next week to teach the class. he had been taken off because he lives about 40 minutes away and this class was the only one he was teaching until the evening and so it didnt make sense for him to come in for only one 45 minute class. the best part about all of this is that most likely the little girl whose mom and grandma caused all of the issues will not be back after next month because the mom is 8 months pregnant. lovely!

8. finally got off the phone with the jury duty people and I am excused, at least for 12 months :)
9. looking forward to the arrival of a fun package from baby gap today. thanks mom!

ten on tuesday

1. today marks the second day in a row that the girls and I havent left the house. yesterday was good, today not as much
2. what do you do with a 3 1/2 year old who screams NOOOOOO at everything I say to her? Reasonably how many time outs can one child have in a day?
3. Been sorting through all of the girls clothes in the last couple of days trying to figure out what fits and what doesnt
4. Little lobster tails were on sale at the grocery store this weekend and I picked up a few for dinner tonight. yuuum
5. yay...almost 5:30 and Rylee hasnt napped yet. lovely
6. loved the new Bachelor Pad show last night. Who knew that having so many people from former Bachelor/Bachelorette shows in one house could be so much fun...although quite a few people dont seem familiar to me. wondering if I slept through the seasons they were on.
7. there was a fire very near to our house on Sunday. We left our house for about an hour and when we came back the sky was full of black smoke. turns out it was started by a couple of kids in the canyon doing something that they shouldnt have.
8. why oh why isnt that baby sleeping right now?
9. yes, I promise that I love my girls, sometimes they just know exactly which buttons to push!

ten on tuesday 8.3.10

1. making spaghetti with marinara sauce for dinner tonight. the tomatos, basil and oregano are all going to be from our garden!
2. went on a fun little shopping trip today, bought NOTHING for the girls which is a first...it was all for me and Johnny. I got some amazing prices on the shirts he loves
3. soooo wish Ali would have picked the other guy last night
4. The mew season of The Rachel Zoe Project starts tonight. I know nothing about fashion (clearly!) but I love this show
5. Anna tried a gymnastics class today and LOVED it. It is really right up her alley...lots of running, jumping and somersaulting

6. Loving the new look and setup of our living room. Now we just need a new tv to replace the one that broke right before we started the work in here and it will be done

9. it has been so HOT and humid here. I just want to stay inside the house with the girls and stay cool. I just hate seeing their little faces turn all red when they get too warm after going outside :(

1. finally feel like I am catching up from this weekend, the party was so much fun but a lot of work and clean up...maybe I am done??
2. Rylee got 4 shots at her 12 month appointment on Monday and wasnt feeling so hot on Monday or Tuesday. Hoping she is feeling better now
3. Thank you so much to everyone who made my little girl's birthday party so much fun. She was spoiled rotten and LOVED the attention
4. We have one gift here that we have no idea who its from. It is a beach chair and was laying on top of some other gifts with no information about who it was from. If you are the person that gave it to her and you are reading this, thank you!
5. finally cooling off a bit today. thank goodness
6. started working on a scrapbook page yesterday and it is coming together so easily, I will share it soon
7. When it was on, I was a HUGE fan of the show Alias. I was so bummed when the show was cancelled. Found a new show on the USA network the other night called Covert Affairs, might it be my new Alias??
8. Speaking of tv shows...so glad that Frank is no longer on The Bachelorette! Do you watch Jimmy Kimmel? Watch this video and check out the part where he talks about Frank's reaction to Justin leaving...hehe

ten on tuesday

1. birthday birthday birthday...that is about all I am thinking about this week!
2. ordered a "smash" cake for Rylee yesterday only to cancel the order today. I placed the order yesterday and was charged more than I was originally quoted over the phone last week. Seriously, there is no need for me to pay $40 for a cake that Rylee may or may not even touch. Called yesterday afternoon and the owner wanted to argue with me about what I wanted when I know what I want...duh! Placed the order with another bakery today for less than half the cost and they are happy to make it the way I want it. It's cake, it shouldnt be so difficult!
3. Put the goodie bags together today
4. have to run to Costco on Thursday, fingers crossed that the trip goes smoothly. Going to Costco with the girls is always iffy
5. Speaking of Costco, I love that ours now has a gas station!
6. Going out Friday night with Johnny and the girls to celebrate Rylee's birthday
7. Working on a couple of handmade gifts for baby girl, hoping they get done
8. Loving the new season of Big Brother, and really hoping that the big shocker on Bachelorette next week has Frank leaving

ten on tuesday...wednesday is better late than never!

1. I made eggplant parmesan last night. so yummy but difficult to make. the best part is that the eggplant and tomatos used in this recipe are from our garden!
2. watching a glee rerun while I type this. I love that show!
3. I cannot believe that my baby will be ONE next week. It doesnt seem possible at all
4. still so much to do for rylee's party. a trip to costco, a trip to ventura this weekend to decide what to serve the people that are coming, etc etc

1. I am kind of at a loss for what to say today, so I am hoping to make it through this ten on tuesday...
2. Made reservations for our anniversary weekend, I cannot believe it has almost been 10 years.
3. Sadly, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is on the tv. I cannot stand this one woman on the show and yet I am still watching/listening.
4. Both girls are sleeping right now. Yesterday they slept at different times...not fun
5. I got my laundry finished and put away, seriously, that never happens
6. We stayed home all day today and with the exception of going to the grocery store,  yesterday too.
7. I still dont know what to get Rylee for her birthday.
8. Anna will still only wear dresses and nightgowns. I seriously thought that this phase would be over already, but she insists.
9. I made it through! wahoo!
